«I hope to meet expectations, to be strongly present in the meeting's ninth edition and to shine against the athletes with whom i will share the 800 meters track», Akkaoui, 4th at the Doha Meeting, entrusted to us, also affirming that her goal is to finish the race in less than 2 minutes.
Despite the particpation of high-rank international athletes who raise the bar, the Moroccan athelete keeps a cool head.
« I will save no effort when running the circuit against the fierce international athletes» she confidently affirmed, adding that she hopes to reach the podium, especially with the Moroocan spectators by her side and with her presence at the stadium, as the meeting takes place in Rabat.
As for preparations, Akkaoui says that they are going well and that they are on the level of the meeting international Mohammed VI d'Athlétisme as well as the following fixtures.
«Thanks to my hard preparations, i will surely have a say and i can aspire to a geat and brilliant performance during the meeting » she added.
Malika Akkaoui and other athletes defending the national colors during this international event will do their best to make good results in order to reach the expectations of the Moroccan general public.
In total 190 athletes representing 49 countries will particpate in the 9th edition of the Meeting International Mohammed VI, on the 22nd of May, the first competition of the league taking place in Africa.
The meeting's program includes 16 events of the Diamond League tour (8 for men and 8 for women) with three optional events (2 for men and one for women).
