Karsten Warholm at the start of the 400m hurdles in Rabat
The Norwegian Olympic champion and two-time world champion, who shattered the 400 m hurdles world record at the 2021 Tokyo Games (45.94), will start his summer season in his favorite discipline on Rabat track during the Wanda Diamond League meeting on . This will be his only appearance before the Oslo meeting.
He was also world champion in the 400m hurdles in 2017 in London and 2019 in Doha, European champion in 2018 in Berlin and European champion in the 400 m hurdles in 2019 in Glasgow.
At the Bislett Games on July 1, 2021, the Norwegian hurdler dropped Kevin Young’s legendary 400-metre hurdle world record, set at the Barcelona Games in 1992, in 46 s 70.
