The 12 edition of Meeting International Mohammed VI of Athletics provides the best international long jump competition with American Olympic champion Jeff Anderson, Cuban Juan Miguel Echevarria and South African champion Luvo Manyonga
"I have been working hard under the supervision of my coach, so that I can be able to make the best achievements,” stated Miguel Echevarria. “In strong competition with the rest of the champions with the hope of [having] a suitable atmosphere, my ambition is to achieve the best record.
Echevarria added: “I will be happy to have a good record here at the Rabat meeting. I have set a preparatory program to be at the top of my level at the World Championships in Doha in September, knowing that records that I have achieved are results of intensive training."
Similarly, Jeff Anderson highlighted that "the competition will be intense alongside Luvo and Miguel in a difficult battle. But it is certain that spectators will enjoy this global competition."
Manyonga, who praised the organization of such international events on Africa, referring to Morocco, said, "I am happy to be here for the first time in Rabat and I hope to have the support of the African public with my wish that I will be in the best shape on Sunday," said
"I'm glad to be here for the first time here in Morocco,” said Frances Felice. “I was happier when I arrived on Friday and I'm very excited to achieve the best result tomorrow."
Most prominent candidate for the 110 meters hurdles, Omar Mcleod also expressed his happiness to participate in this event. "I am happy to be in Morocco for the first time and I am ready after a hard training and long program with my coach to prepare for the World Championship in Doha, Qatar."
"My preparations are intense after the Oslo meeting in anticipation of the biggest competition in the world championship in September. I am happy to be here in Morocco," said Sergey Shubenkov.
